Ghost stories

I was up late last night there's nothing better late night than channel suicide. As I was flipping channels I saw what I instantly recognized as Bobby Mackey's. A local country bar complete with mechanical bull.

It turned out that the show was Ghost Adventures on the Travel Channel. Now I don't really believe in ghosts and really don't care for ghost chasers on TV. you can't really tell what's real and fake without being there yourself.

I had heard growing up that Bobby Mackey's was haunted but never actually heard the full story. there was a book being passed around about it but I never caught the name. Last night I got the full story and the book is called Hell's Gate.

I got the chills several times last night while watching the show, probably more because it was cold and the producers of the show last night did a good job of providing suspense without really coming off as fake.

wasn't scary enough to give me dreams of any sort though. It looks like the crew from ghost adventures is even coming back for a ghost hunt and party in January too. But with tickets going for $259 each, you won't be seeing me there.

Beware the Doghouse

I thought this was hilarious. I'm in a much better mood now than I was last night.

Send a card to a soldier this christmas

When doing your Christmas cards this year, take one card and send it to this address. If we pass this on and everyone sends one card, think of how many cards these wonderful special people who have sacrificed so much would get.

Yes We Can!

I am relieved that the election is finally over and that Obama has been elected without major litigation involved. It really is a relief to wake up knowing that a president has been chosen and the race wasn't so close that one side or the other could claim that the election was stolen by judges deciding a court case. I think John McCain gave a good concession speech last night and I wonder where that John McCain has been for the last couple of years. Maybe now we can see some real maverick type stuff out of him and actually see some work get done in congress.
