Well, I've been really busy with work the past couple weeks, 20 hours of OT this pay period and such. I recently spent two weeks on call and it just happened to be really bad timing with both Dad's birthday and Father's Day falling in those two weeks.
Now it turns out I'm already on call again for the next two weeks because vacations have mucked up the rotation. I was supposed to have the family poker game at my house this Saturday but now that venue has to be changed. I can't guarantee that I'll be there but I'll try my hardest. We wouldn't have had to change locations if Camille were still available. But due to one of her (former) co-workers getting frisky with several of the male customers and then walking around the hotel drunk and naked, Camille's schedule is now mucked up too and she will definitely be working Saturday night.

Perspective.
I had a Dell call up on Mt. Adams a couple weeks ago and I got this shot from a little park on Hill St. It really is neat seeing where I grew up from the other side of the river. It is amazing just how much the place has changed too. Houses gone, others built. I pointed out my parents house, and even the window to my old room to the law student who's laptop I had just fixed and she was just in awe of how close to the city and the view that I had of the river as a kid. Granted, my view was nothing compared to her current apartment but I gather that she's not from the downtown area and didn't have views like these growing up.
Oddly enough, Bellevue was just named one of the hot neighborhoods in the area by the Enquirer the other day. It was also mentioned as one of the top ten in the latest Cincinnati Magazine.

Up all night.
Well, I had gotten about an hour's worth of sleep tonight when Camille called and woke me up saying that her purse had been stolen and to cancel all her cards. She also needed a ride home as her car keys were in the purse. I started calling the phone, I must have called it a hundred times, eventually someone picked up and I could hear them pressing numbers trying to turn the phone off.
We went home and tried to cancel the phone but I hung up after a half hour on hold with sprint. Camille then used my phone to call back to the drawbridge and it turned out that one of the people she suspected of taking her purse had been caught walking around in the kitchen of the restaurant. So Camille wanted to go back to the drawbridge. I went with her and the suspect was in the backseat of one of the cars. The guy couldn't give a straight story, he was with someone else and all his clothes were in the room but he didn't know which room etc. They searched the guy before putting him in the cruiser, but they never pulled the phone out of his pocket. Upon a second search of the guy later, they pulled out the phone and it was Camille's. They hauled him off to the station but with no room number, we have no clue where her purse is that has her keys, a couple credit cards and such. Not to mention that it was one of those expensive Vera Bradly purses with a nice leather wallet from banana republic.
Looks like I'm calling the locksmith in the morning. Grrr!
